Sabrina Zirkel studies the ways the race, ethnicity and gender shape educational experiences -- and particular students' feelings of belonging, connection and investment in academic outcome. She is also interested in how educational policy is shaped by racial processes and the role that Critical Race Theory can play in helping us understand educational policy and practice.
